A California Love Story Celebrated In Destination Uganda

Anthony and Tina’s destination Uganda wedding was an elegant, romantic, whimsical, classy lockdown wedding.

It was a mixture of culture and modern exotic trend from Ethiopian attire of the groom Anthony Malone heritage to the Buganda traditional heritage for the bride Nsubuga Tina.

It was a lockdown wedding where SOPs had to be in place of social distancing on tables, masking and sanitising

LOVE STORY

Anthony Malone and Tina Emily Nsubuga was one of a kind match, they met at a coffee shop, while she was buying coffee then he came and asked her for the date and he told her that he had seen her there before.

By that time Tina was rushing to work she really didn’t have time, she even never asked for his number but she just requested him that they could meet in the same place the next day. Unfortunately, he didn’t turn up for the appointment the next day so she just got her coffee and left.

As fate would have it three months later, she passed by the same coffee shop to get what to eat after work and there he was, he apologized for the past disappointment that it was not intentional and he had actually over slept by the time he woke up it was too late for their planned date.

They ended up having their first date that same day and rest is history. Listening to this amazing love story we went ahead with incorporating this in their wedding by choosing small cute coffee bags as their wedding gift favors for their guests to commemorate the start of their love story.

CHURCH

The couple said I DO at the Miracle Centre Cathedral Rubaga on December 29th 2020 at 10am officiated by the senior pastor – Pr. Robert Kayanja.

At exactly 10am the bride walked down the aisle graced by her parents Mr and Mrs Nsubuga with shackles (praise you) by, Mary Mary playing on the speakers. It was all merry and teary as the congregation stood and witnessed the start of happily ever after.

Once the pastor declared them the Malones, they sealed it with the kiss and we were ready to party.

RECEPTION

Following the exchange of heart felt vows, the guests were welcomed with the famous Buganda traditional dance by the crane performers at the Lake Victoria Serena Kigo at the colosseum gardens.

With the signature cocktails they were invited to the reception with long white walkaway and crystal chandeliers.

The decorator of the day I candy understood the concept of a gold and crystal wedding she gave it a shimmer and shinning modern look by mixing glass golden tables and cream table linen.

The guest list was graced from the top to the know who including the Prince of Buganda Kingdom -Prince David Kintu Wasajja.  The couple later joined the guests at the reception having the brother of the bride Tendo Nsubuga treated them to trap music as Papa T. The event was officially opened with a prayer and the couple’s first dance of Here and now later the guests were treated to a delicious dinner as they enjoyed their event with Samson Kasumba as the event host, Happy Kyazze on the saxophone and Winnie Nwagi on the second entrance.

Forever as Stress free and serene events we shall always be part of a love story that began in a small coffee shop in Las Vegas, California and later gave us a chance to tailor a bespoke event for them in destination Uganda.
